We’re now looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Member Experience team. Our Advisors are pivotal in moving as many of our member’s funds as possible to the highest impact funding opportunities (identified by our Research team). You’ll report into our Chief Experience Officer, acting as a true thought-partner to our members, building deep 1-1 connections and understanding their motivations, to help us achieve our goal of funding the highest-impact organisations worldwide.
In this hugely influential role, you’ll have the opportunity to become a true philanthropic expert, with exposure to members of ultra-high net worth and high-influence. You’ll inspire and influence, not only individual members, but across the business (including our C-Suite), evolving our overall member experience and member strategy.
In your first 6 months you’ll:
Start to own relationships with our US member base. This involves building deep, personal and genuine relationships. When our members are ready to give, you’ll inform and educate, working with them to build a portfolio of high-impact giving.
Learn more about our cause-neutral approach to giving. As an Advisor at Founders Pledge, you’ll not only influence our members to move millions of dollars to high-impact causes, but in turn, you’ll be a part of changing the global philanthropic landscape.
Begin to contribute to the development of our Advisory service. This might include reviewing and building educational resources, learning sessions, and other tools which encourage our members to give in an impact-maximizing way. You’ll contribute to the development, production and testing of new resources, methods and tools which we can use to improve our service.
Location: USA - we are open to candidates in Pacific Time Zone or Mountain Time Zone only. This role is mostly remote, but will require travel to San Francisco numerous times per year.
Salary: $95k - $110k
Firstly, you must be incredibly excited about the opportunity to work in such an impactful role, passionate about moving millions of dollars to the highest impact opportunities and managing relationships with those who have the power to do so.
We’re open to candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds, with experience building trusted, influential relationships with HNW individuals, potentially as an Advisor, Major Gifts Manager, Wealth/Asset Manager, or a similar profession.
You’ll need to be 'cause agonistic' and aligned with our approach to giving. You’ll appreciate that not all charities are the same, be passionate about learning more about our research, and keen to engage and educate our members.
You’ll likely have:
Alignment with Founders Pledge’s view of high impact charitable giving. You’ll persuade our members to give to the most impactful causes, even if they aren’t the ones that you personally resonate with.
The gravitas to challenge and convince HNWs to build high-impact giving portfolios. You might have developed this skill in client/stakeholder management and we’re looking for evidence of building trusted relationships that lead to positive outcomes.
Experience communicating complex information persuasively (this could be from a range of backgrounds, e.g. sales, communications, fundraising, education). You’ll need to digest our quantitative research and tell compelling stories to our members.
Motivation to achieve (and ideally surpass) targets. The team aims to move more money each year to the very best charitable opportunities.
Experience in philanthropic advising or the nonprofit sector (nice to have).
